We invite you to read all of the information provided and to follow us on Facebook or Instagram @whitepinestudiosart for the most up to date information on all the exciting happenings at the studio.

After School Classes

Classes for elementary and middle school students are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the studio. Registration for in-studio classes are made through our website, whitepinestudios.org.

We also offer classes at both Pleasant Ridge Elementary and Woodland Meadows on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:55 – 4:55 pm. These classes may be booked through Saline Community Education.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are offered at $25 per hour. Our instructors are graduates from the University of Michigan’s School of Art and Design.

Classes for Homeschooled Students

We offer a weekly art class for homeschooled students in the studio. We can also book a weekly class just for your homeschool group. Call the studio to inquire.

“Mommy” and Me

Once a month we offer a class for young children (ages 3-5) with their caregivers to enjoy an art activity together. Our first class will be on Wednesday, September 14th in the studio. http

Monthly Kids’ Painting pARTys

Once a month we offer a painting pARTy for young artists ages 5-12. Kids will have fun painting on an 11X14 canvas board and enjoy a complimentary treat! Our September painting pARTy is scheduled for Saturday, September 10th.

Birthday pARTys

Consider a creative experience for your child and their friends for their birthday celebration. Whitepine Studios is unique in that with two weeks’ notice we will customize a project to fit your child’s party theme or interests! We are taking reservations for 2022.  Birthday celebrations or other private events are not just for kids. Whitepine Studios hosts parties for all occasions for teens and adults too!

Sound and Art

Once a quarter, Whitepine Studios collaborates with 7 Notes Natural Health to provide an evening of Sound and Art. Our next event will be held on Saturday evening, September 17th from 7 – 8:30 pm. As we listen to the melodic sounds of the singing bowls you will paint a beautiful composition in watercolor. Your muscles will lose tension, breathing and heart rates will slow down as the body begins to receive the waves of vibration and the meditative benefits of art. No art experience necessary.

Fused Glass and Pottery Classes

Whitepine Studios hosts fused glass and pottery classes with Twirling Frog Studios and local potter Jennifer Lupton. Stay tuned for upcoming events!

The Gallery at Whitepine Studios

Whitepine Studios has a beautiful art gallery where we exhibit and sell the work of emerging and established local artists. Currently on display are a collection of works by local artists: Linda Klenczar, Tina Hotchkiss, Dennis Gordon, and Whitepine’s own Creative Director and co-owner, Kaili Dence. On Sunday September 11th, from 1:00-2:30 pm, we will be hosting an opening reception for these featured artists. Join us for this exceptional opportunity to celebrate art in Saline. Complimentary desserts and beverages will be provided. Come and join us, bring the whole family and friends, and support our local artists. Select originals purchased at the opening will be 20% off.

The Gallery at Whitepine Studios is open Mon-Fri. from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. To see all of the artwork for sale visit our online gallery.

We now offer shipping.

THANK YOU

In the months of June-August, we provided 9 Summer Art Adventure Camps for over 135 young artists. We hosted several private events and participated in our first Summerfest Sidewalk Sale.  We continued to bring art activities to our seniors in several retirement communities, participated in Family Day at Storypoint, hosted both in-studio and mobile events for several local day camps and childcare facilities,  congratulated our own Kaili Dence whose art was selected in June to be displayed in the Art Around Saline Exhibition (can be seen in Murphy’s Crossing behind Mac’s outdoor patio) and gave private art lessons to students from Saline and from surrounding communities. We want to thank everyone who joined us for all of these events and who continue to support our mission of Inspiring the Artist Inside in a fun and supportive environment.
